After the major T10 battle pass update in dota2, gamers started to complain about the lag in the main menu. Especially the computers with low specs who ran with low graphics quality. So let’s get to the fixing part.
So the major change that we had with the main menu is the background animation. Even though that animation was perfect, it pretty much hurts the low spec computers. When I researched a bit, I found that the animation is a video placed on our local machine. What we all have to do is remove the video from the local folder.
1) Open Steam and navigate to your dota2 game in the library.

2) Right, click on Dota 2 > go to manage > Browse local files.

3) After the last step, it will open up a new window where ever your game is installed. In my case its in C: drive.

4) Follow the path.
game > Dota > panorama > videos

5) Here you have multiple options. You can rename, delete, or move the following videos, which removes the background animations. In my case I just renamed the following videos. For easy reference, you can click the Display information option or ctrl+shift+6 to view the info so you can see the modified date. You can do sort the date if you want. Spot the videos with the date in 2020.

If you don’t want the intro, you can do the same for the following video. In my case, I left it as is it because I like it. Plus, it doesn’t affect the main menu lag.

Enjoy the game like in the old days 🙂 Happy gaming.
